January is typically a slow month for photographers, with that in mind I decided to try out a new location and collaborate with a couple of local models. I am so excited about how this session went and couldn't be happier about both the location and the models.

The Space. I rented the Luxury room which also included use of the main entry room. The rooms had plenty of natural light and so many different angles to photograph. I picked the Luxury room because of the dark blue wall and peacock chair. Both of these features allowed for a more dramatic look which flows well with my style of editing and art. Plus, who doesn't love to feel like a queen while sitting in a peacock chair!? I can't wait to photograph this space again, the only thing I would suggest to photographers is to bring a reflector as some of my favorite areas to photograph (the shiplap wall and peacock chair) both have light sources that came from the side and would have benefited from a little bit of filler light to even it out.

The Models. I can't say enough amazing things about the two models that came out for my session. Barbara, also known as VA Barbie 757, was so easy to work with, and so well prepared. She styled herself with minimal direction as she seemed to just know what I wanted after just a short discussion about my prefered style. Not only did she look amazing, but after every click of camera she instantly moved into the next pose. I never once had to provide direction, which allowed me to focus more on finding the best light for the space and really get to comfortable photographing at The Studio very quickly. I selected my second model, Taylor, with a specific image in my mind that I wanted to capture. My goal was to show how strong, unique, and beautiful females are. Taylor has the perfect athletic build and beautifully unique style about her that fit my idea perfectly. We only had a few minutes to get the shots we wanted, but we were able to photograph in several different spots and try out lots of poses because of how well the space flows from one corner to the next.

I can't wait to bring clients to this location in the future, and already have plans in the works for two upcoming maternity sessions at The Studio. Below are all the links to follow both myself and the beautiful models that I worked with on this collaboration.
